Harriet Blue is a slightly damaged, super-focused detective
with the Sydney Sex Crimes unit. When she is called to the scene of a young
woman’s murder, she has a feeling it was done by the Georges River serial
killer. Before she can validate her theory, another detective, “Tox” Barnes
takes over the case and completely dismisses it. Tox is a policeman’s worst
nightmare—he was once convicted of a crime and his colleagues can’t stomach him.
Blue is trying to do her job, but everything and everybody is holding her back. Black & Blue by James Patterson and Candice Fox is a short thriller,
packed with action and intrigue. DB

Mistletoe Games
Mistletoe Games is an anthology of the three novellas in the Play by Play series by Jaci Burton. Each takes place during the Christmas holiday and are short for a great evening read. The three holiday novellas: Holiday Games, Holiday on Ice, and Hot Holiday Nights are sexy, passionate and a little bit naughty!
As always, the writing is well done. The characters are independent, strong, sporty, and deliciously handsome. And the plot builds and flows nicely with a good dose of drama, chemistry, sexual tension, and sizzling sex scenes.
Overall, this is a fun, entertaining, easy read that would be a great "naughty" stocking stuffer. *JK*
