A ring of thieves has stolen the Fitzgerald manuscripts from
their home in Princeton’s Firestone Library. They set out to make a fortune
from the stolen goods. Bruce Cable is the owner of Bay Books on Camino Island.
He is well-known to collectors and authors. He runs a prosperous independent bookstore,
but his real interest is rare books. Mercer Mann is part-time English professor
and struggling author. When her university loses funding and cuts her position,
she must find a way to support herself and pay off her debts. She is approached
by a lucrative firm and is sent to Camino Island to observe Cable and his
bookstore. Camino Island is a great
treat for all types of readers! DB

The Scotsman Who Saved Me
The Scotsman Who Saved Me by Hannah Howell has a well written introduction to a new series in which Scottish men who have immigrated to American will each have the story of how they find their brides told. In this book each brother is met and a bit is told about him but this is the story of the eldest, Iain McEnroy, and the woman he finds to settle down with.
This book seems to be a good read with a plot similar to many I have read and the characters were enjoyable and entertaining. You will definitely want to read the next book in the series. *JK
